The CUA Student Association is comprised of two equal parts. The General Assembly (GA) and the Student Fee Allocation Board (SFAB). In addition the Student Association works closely with Program Board, a student organization. The GA acts as the main advocate of the Student Body to the University, SFAB acts as the body to distribute the Undergraduate Student Fee to the various clubs and organizations on campus, and Program Board - while still independent from the student government - brings entertainment and events to the CUA community.

The General Assembly

The GA is composed of 28 elected delegates to each class in the Undergraduate population. Seven delegates from each class are elected to serve one year terms. From the 28 elected delegates, a Speaker is internally elected from the delegates and he or she is to act as the main voice of the body as well as the "executive." The Speaker will also have various executive powers outlined in the Student Association Constitution.

Each delegate will be assigned to an area of the University where it is deemed necessary to have student input. The delegates will act as the direct voice from the student population to their assigned University representative. The delegates will also report back to the General Assembly in the form of committees. All the University Liaison Positions will be organized into two different committees, Student Life and Academic.

These two committees will be chaired by the Student Life Chairman and Academic Chairman respectively. The Chairmen will be elected internally by the 28 delegates to serve a one year term. These Chairmen will act as advisers to the Speaker and be the point person for the respective delegates.

Additionally, delegates will be asked to report to the entire General Assembly when needed.

Student Fee Allocation Board

SFAB takes care of the financial side of the Student Association. It is the sole body responsible for the allocation of money to the various and numerous student clubs and organizations. The board shall have 1 Director, 8 associate members (Treasurers), and 2 University staff members. Four treasurers from each class will be elected by their respective classes. The remaining 4 treasurers will be appointed by the Director. The SFAB director will be elected at large by the entire Undergraduate Student population.

The Student Fee Allocation Board will establish, independently, procedures and measures on how they will conduct business.

Additionally, the SFAB Director will compile a financial report which will be presented and submitted to the General Assembly each month.
